Last week marked a significant milestone for the AX-COAST project as we had a special session in the 7th Congresso de Morfodinâmica Estuarina e Costeira (MEC) hosted at the  University of Aveiro. This event served as the culmination of our project, where experts and stakeholders convened to delve into the critical realm of coastal management.

Throughout the congress, attendees were treated to a plethora of enlightening talks from specialists representing diverse fields but unified by a common goal: the enhancement and safeguarding of our coastlines. These discussions not only shed light on the challenges facing coastal regions but also offered innovative solutions and best practices to foster resilience and sustainability.

From exploring cutting-edge research to sharing practical insights garnered from real-world experiences, the event provided a platform for fruitful exchanges and collaboration. It was heartening to witness the passion and dedication of all participants towards the shared mission of building better, safer coastlines for current and future generations.

As we reflect on the invaluable discussions and connections forged during the congress, we are energized to continue our efforts in advancing coastal management strategies and contributing to the collective endeavor of protecting our precious coastal environments. Stay tuned for updates on our ongoing initiatives and endeavors as we strive to make a positive impact on coastal communities worldwide.
